Behind the Boutique: My Journey to Winniesboutique
I started working at 16 years old. For nearly three decades, I showed up — day after day — for someone else's dream. By the time I reached my 40s, my body started telling me it was time for a change. Health issues made it harder and harder to get up and go to someone else's job. Some days, just getting through the door felt like a victory.
But struggle has a way of sparking something in you.
One day, in the middle of all of it, an idea came to me. What if I stopped working for someone else and started building something of my own? Something I could pour my heart into — on my own terms, at my own pace. That idea became Winniesboutique.
Starting a business isn't easy — especially when you're navigating health challenges at the same time. There were moments of doubt, late nights, and plenty of learning curves. But there was also something I hadn't felt in a long time: purpose. The freedom of building something that's truly yours is unlike anything else.
Winniesboutique isn't just a store. It's proof that it's never too late to bet on yourself. Every piece I curate, every order I pack, every customer I connect with — it all means something to me personally.
Thank you for being part of this journey. When you shop with Winniesboutique, you're not just buying something beautiful — you're supporting a dream that almost didn't happen.
And I'm so glad it did.
With love,
Winnie
